What is an RPTO?
A Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) is a training body operating under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation framework. Under the Drone Rules 2021, flying most drone categories commercially in India requires a Remote Pilot Certificate — earned through structured training and assessment of exactly this kind.
